Blue Dress

It’s that sweet time of year when everything is just so lush and green! I find myself getting distracted when I am driving around by all of the beautiful fields with the tall grass blowing in the wind. It’s just all so serene. I want to be outside all of the time! Texas summers are hot with a capital H, so I cherish these beautiful spring days when I still need light layers.

My husband travels for work, so when he is home we cram as many errands in one day as we can and finish off with a date night. I am always looking for dresses that work great for running around town but that also make a perfect dinner outfit. This sweet dress from Banana Republic stole my heart before I even tried it on.

The ruffles and soft blue and lilac tile pattern are the feminine details that I love. The skirt of the dress is tiered, starting from the cinched waist, making this silhouette extra flattering. I paired it with my denim jacket to keep the look more casual and to stay warm in the crisp evening air.

I carried one of my favorite shoulder bags from Banana Republic with this look. I ordered this bag thinking it would be a great occasional bag but it continues to surprise me with how versatile it is. I wear it with so many different looks as a pop of color and the size is great, with several different pockets to keep my things organized. I wore my M.GEMI flats since they are my current favorites. Seriously, the most comfortable shoe I have ever had.

We finished our day with a lovely dinner at a local favorite, making this dress the epitome of day-to-night dressing.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I’m off to Austin for a wedding and this dress will certainly be coming with me! Thank you for stopping by! xo Bryn
