Coffee Date Vol. 2

Last week I started the Coffee Date series to be able to catch up with you on what happened during the week. This week went by really fast and I can’t believe Friday is here again. I’m excited for the weekend because I have plans to see a couple of my friends who I haven’t seen in a while. Which means catch up sessions over coffee… the inspiration behind this series.

Thoughts From The Week

I saw this quote on Pinterest this week and it really resonated with me. It’s been a conscious decision for me over the past couple of years to be more aware of my surroundings. Life really is so beautiful if you are open to seeing the beauty. This week has been freezing and rainy. It can be hard for me to get excited about this kind of weather. But on my drive to work on Wednesday, I noticed that all of the trees were covered in tiny icicles. It was so beautiful! The bark was black from being drenched and the ice covered everything in a silvery-mist. The same drive that I do every day suddenly looked different to me. You just have to be conscious!

What’s New With Me

I started BBG this week and it’s amazing how working out really changes my mood. I am not someone who loves working out and staying committed is tough for me. I’ve tried a few things that I enjoy like spin classes, but I just hate how expensive those classes can be! I’ve done Beach Body which is a great program, but I wanted to try BBG since I was hearing so much about it. On Sunday I meal prepped so I had my lunches for work ready to go. These adorable food containers were partially responsible for my meal prep, but whatever works, right?!

Currently Loving:

  • For a Valentine’s Day gift Brian got me a humidifier/diffuser. I have been complaining lately that I feel like the air in our home is really dry and makes everything feel stale. So I was very excited when I opened the box and saw this. He was also sweet enough to include the essential oils for me to diffuse. I make this part of my routine every night now. While I’m getting ready for bed I diffuse a few drops of lavender and eucalyptus. You can set this particular diffuser to run for a couple different time periods. I just let it run for an hour while I wash my face and until I fall asleep. It’s so soothing and the air isn’t dry!
  • Still loving my Allbirds shoes that I wrote about in Monday’s post

With all the stress and negativity going on in our world, we do have to make a conscious effort to see the beauty around us. The world is a glorious place! Thank you for such an inspired post. And, of course your beautiful pics!
