There are a few things in my closet that I can only wear in the spring and the summer. Each year I look forward to being able to pull them out again. It’s compensation for me having to put away my coats (which I love). The items that I always look forward to wearing again in spring are espadrilles and straw bags. Both are great warm weather accessories that make every outfit feel more resort ready.

This past week we’ve been able to enjoy some spring-like weather, including the spring rains. In between rainstorms I was able to test out my newest pair of espadrilles that just arrived last week. I’ve always been a fan of Soludos but now that I’ve been hearing more about Castañer I wanted to try them too! I love the variety of colors that they offer and the different wedge heights. I really don’t want a wedge that is high because I already find them slightly hard to walk in. Mine never seem to stay tied!

I ordered the salmon-pink color since most of my wardrobe consists of blush or colors that compliment easily. One of my favorite color combinations is olive with pink. I wore this olive sweater and pink bag a couple of weeks ago. So when I saw this olive dress at Old Navy I knew it would be a great choice. Because of the fabric it comes across a little more grey in the photos but it is an olive green.

Over the years I have accumulated quite the collection of straw and natural bags. I prefer them to leather bags in the spring and summer. I like the texture that it brings to an outfit. This Kayu bag is back in stock this year and it’s one of my favorites. The round bag is a big trend right now, but I love the size of this one compared to some of the much smaller round bags we see.

I know we are all ready for winter to leave us. This weekend gave me a little taste of spring and now I have spring fever. It’s gotten me thinking about some warm weather get-a-ways that are calling my name! Where do you like to travel in the spring? xo Bryn
