Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching! Like I mentioned in Wednesday’s post, Brian and I don’t typically make a big deal out of this holiday. But it is nice to gift the people you love most with thoughtful gifts. You can definitely find the way to my heart with flowers and chocolate but a gift with more meaning is always appreciated.

This year Brian and I were gifted matching His and Her’s bracelet sets from A Shore Thing Jewelry. Just in time for Valentine’s Day! I love them for so many reasons, the obvious one being that they are super cute. But more than that, they have such a special meaning to us. As you may know Brian and I spend several weeks at a time apart, while he is working offshore. It’s a sweet reminder when I look down at my bracelet and think of him out there on the ocean.

Over our years together, I’ve given Brian a few gifts that really were a home run. So I wanted to share a couple more ideas with you. A classic leather band watch is always a great choice. You also can’t go wrong with a cool pair of sneakers. My favorite brand right now is Allbirds. They are amazingly comfortable and have so many great options.

Brian’s favorite gift from me is without a doubt his Randolph sunglasses. This is the style that Don Draper wears in Mad Men. Brian had been trying to find a pair since the first time they were featured in an episode. I managed to track them down and surprised him with a pair. The quality is far superior to designer sunglasses that we’ve paid twice as much for!

Thoughtful gifts are a great way to tell someone you appreciate and love them. It shows that you know them and that you put thought into getting them something that they will want to use.
