Valentine’s Date

It’s hard to believe that Valentine’s Day is a week away! Brian won’t be home for it so we decided to celebrate a little early. Neither one of us is a big fan of Valentine’s Day. Brian always says it’s become too commercialized. I just choose to look at it as an excuse for a date night with a cute outfit. This year I wanted to go with something a little more casual that I would be able to wear again. I don’t like the idea of buying a dress for Valentine’s Day that will only be worn once.

This jumpsuit caught my eye while I was walking through Banana Republic. I came back to it a couple of times before deciding to try it on. I usually have a hard time with rompers and jumpsuits. My short legs and longer torso usually result in a frustrated fitting room session, so I was completely shocked when this one zipped up perfectly. It was one of those instant “YES!” moments.

I knew I wanted to keep it cool and casual for our Valentine’s date so I paired it with my denim jacket. This jumpsuit will be a great piece for me to wear to work with a blazer or cardi. I also love the idea of layering a bodysuit like this one underneath for more of the “overall” look.

This perfect pink bag arrived just in time for Valentine’s Day and will continue to be a favorite into spring. I’ve already been wearing it with my winter clothesyh to brighten up the gloomy days. I love the pop of color it adds to any outfit. Especially for someone like me, who typically wears neutrals.

Our Valentine’s date wasn’t anything crazy. But for me it is way more about spending a nice evening together. I’m not someone who wants a grand gesture. Just a little quality time with my Valentine. Well, and maybe a new pair of great shoes. xo Bryn

I love this for a casual Valentine’s Date! The jumpsuit looks amazing on you and I totally agree – why buy something when you aren’t going to wear it again? For me, I almost never wear pink so it’s ridiculous to buy something pink for one night! Also, LOVE how this goes from cas to dressy just by taking off your denim jacket!

For Valentines day, we are pretty chilled. It’s probably going to be a movie and homemade dinner with wine <3
