Instagrammer’s Guide to Notting Hill

London has a reputation of being one of the most “Instagrammable” cities in the world. It’s no wonder with its rows of homes with fun colored front doors and the hidden mews with charming facades. I couldn’t help but stop every few feet to take a picture of someone’s front door hidden behind climbing roses. It really is an Instagram worthy city. One of the most grammable neighborhoods is without a doubt, Notting Hill. We spent one of our days in London exploring Notting Hill and it was definitely the most colorful day we had on our trip. I’m sharing my Instagrammer’s Guide to Notting Hill with a few spots you will want to add to you list when you visit.

Located on Portobello Road before you reach Farm Girl

We were staying in Kensington so it was an easy walk to Notting Hill passing Kensington Palace to Portobello Road. Our first stop was breakfast at Farm Girl. This restaurant is an Instagram favorite. With the fun decor, pink outdoor tables and lattes adorned with crushed rose petals how could you not snap a few pictures?

Now that you’ve had your coffee it’s time to start exploring! Turn left on Portobello Road leaving Farm Girl and enjoy the row of brightly colored storefronts you have probably seen in your Instagram feed (seen in the cover photo). Turn right onto Denbigh Terrace and then a left on Denbigh Road to make your way to Westbourne Grove. Here you will find some of the best shops in Notting Hill. Including my favorite – Wild at Heart. It’s the perfect place to snap some pictures of the prettiest blooms.

Take a break from the shops to check out some of the “must snap” doors on Lonsdale Road. It runs parallel to Westbourne Grove and is where you can find gems like the two houses below. If it’s Wisteria season, the home in the photo below is even better!

From there head back to Portobello Road. There are several options for food like Honest Burgers, or Biscuiteers Boutique and Fabrique for sweet treats. There are also plenty of coffee shops for a quick pick me up! Next you have to make a stop at the St. Lakes Mews (seen in this post). It’s a quick walk from Portobello Road – turn right on Westbourne Park Road and Left onto All Saints Rd and Right onto St. Lukes Mews.

A couple other streets to note are Elgin Cres over to Portland Road. Elgin Cres is a beautiful street with impressive pastel colored homes. It will lead you to Portland Road via Clarendon Road.

Portland Road is quiet and has some very charming shops. Including Summerill & Bishop seen behind me in the photo below.
