Summer Adventure

Something I always treasure is my sense of adventure. I love to travel and to experience all that the world has to offer. But I am also a firm believer that you can have this same sense of adventure and not have to spend all of your money. Summer really brings out my adventurous spirit. I look forward to spending the long days exploring and trying new things. While I would love to, I can’t just pick up on a whim and jet off to the South of France. So I look for ways to incorporate the spirit of adventure into my everyday life.

When L’Occitane approached me to review their latest Summer Treasures set I was so inspired by their Provincial roots. L’Occitane has always been a favorite of mine for their hand cream but I have never tried any of their other products. I am so excited to be taking all 13 travel sized products with me on my various summer adventures. I will report back to you with a review and my favorites from the set.

Brian (my husband, if this is your first time visiting) just got home from work this past weekend. We always try to plan something fun for his first weekend home. It’s been a few weeks since we’ve seen each other so I thought it would be fun to plan an early morning picnic to catch up. We grabbed a few fresh pastries and fruit from the local market and picked a spot by the water. Brian and I spent our honeymoon in France so we have such fond memories and try to recreate that every chance we get.

After a light breakfast we wandered through the vineyards near by and enjoyed the sunshine. It’s things like this that can make it feel like you’ve traveled to the other side of the world. I always try to encourage adventures. Especially if you work full-time during the week. It’s so important to break the routine with something fun and unexpected.

Summer adventures don’t have to mean spending money. Enjoy a picnic, spend the day at the lake, visit a local botanic garden. There are so many options. I am challenging you to explore your sense of adventure this summer!

I am with you on summer adventures! Love picnics! This weekend we were supposed to have a picnic but got a little chilly so we created an indoor picnic in our own home. Glad you had a great weekend! That dress is cute!
