I can’t even tell you how quickly this week went by! I’m still having a hard time remembering it’s June and we’re already half way through the month! Work has been incredibly busy for me lately and I am also working on a few very exciting projects for Waketon Road. I love staying busy but I really need to remind myself to slow down and breathe. It’s so easy to get caught up in the hustle. Before we know it time has passed and we’re left wondering where it went.
Since today starts my weekend (my weekend days are Friday and Saturday) I’m looking forward to taking it easy. My weekends are usually pretty low-key. My job is very demanding and can be really chaotic so I like to keep my weekends as stress free as possible. When Brian is home we typically spend my first morning off getting coffee or an early breakfast together. When he’s at work I try to meet my parents for lunch. Basically, my weekends involve eating with people I love.
My weekend style reflects the more laid back feel. I want something that is still cute but will be comfortable for running errands. This tunic is ideal for the weekends. Although I have already worn it to work with my dress pants. The pale blue color is what really made me fall in love. It’s so soft and feels very serene.
During the week I do get dressed up for work. It’s a professional environment which I love because I love dressing up. Even on the weekends I get “dressed.” Meaning I like to still pull outfits together rather than just throw on my yoga pants and run out the door. I might not do a “full face” or I’ll slick my hair into a top knot, but getting to wear some of the clothes I can’t wear during the week is fun!
We all need a little time to recharge before jumping back into our busy lives. I do have to remind myself that weekends are meant for relaxation just as much as fun activities. What do you do to relax on the weekend? Whatever you do I hope you enjoy it! Thank you so much for stopping by! xo Bryn
