There are some items that can create excitement or even a sense of adventure. For me, straw bags make me dream of new summer adventures. Not just beach vacations, but weekend trips to the farmers market, or a picnic at the park. Straw bags are always my go-to for summer. Right now we are enjoying a quick trip to New Orleans and I couldn’t resist bringing three, yes three, straw bags with me.
This Dolce Vita tote was an easy buy for me. Dolce Vita translates to “Sweet Life” which is exactly what I think of when I see a straw tote. I think of a warm summer breeze, crashing waves and fruity drink in my hand. Definitely the sweet life. But with no upcoming beach vacations I still wanted a summer tote that would create that feeling for me any time!
Pairing such a summer-y tote with a classic button up shirt and denim skirt made my look feel so much more adventurous. Like I was ready to jet-set to a private island, or some other fabulous place. I always love for my clothes to evoke a feeling or to tell a story.
With summer right around the corner finding an excuse to buy more straw totes has been too easy. I shared a few of my favorites in this post. Including this tote that arrived just in time for our trip to New Orleans. Straw bags are summer staples. You can never have too many!
