Spring Bike Rides

It’s been the busiest couple of weeks for me! Work has been a mile a minute and with only one day off this week I am feeling the exhaustion. Thursday was my day off so Brian and I wanted to make the most of it. We got up and grabbed a quick cup of coffee from our favorite coffee shop then headed to the dog park with Bear. I always look forward to starting my days off like that. It’s so special to spend time with both of them free from distractions. Since it was such a beautiful day we started brainstorming ideas of how to spend the afternoon outside.

Brian has recently been tossing around the idea of getting bikes for both of us. My workout of choice is a spin class so it didn’t take too much convincing. We live in a large community with miles of bike trails, not to mention all of the quiet neighborhood streets. So we decided it was the perfect day to pick up a couple of bikes and hit the pavement.

I decided on this adorable cruiser because I know I won’t be doing any mountain biking but wanted something that still came with a few gears. This model has seven gears so even though it’s cute and blog approved, I can still get a good workout with it, too!

Even though I go to spin class when I can (#work) I haven’t physically ridden a bike in years. It really is true when they say, “It’s just like riding a bike” because it all comes back. It felt amazing to be out with the wind blowing and enjoying the neighborhood.

Brian and I are trying to find things to do together that requires more activity than just sitting on the couch watching TV. Not that those nights aren’t nice too, but with the amazing weather we’re having it’s a great excuse. What are some things you do to stay active? Let me know some suggestions! xo Bryn

Such a fun way to spend time together in the spring and summer! Andrew and I try to go on walks a few times a week and explore new areas of town (or a new park) on the weekend just to make sure we are active and moving.
Love the casual outfit! Those are my favorite shoes right now 🙂
