We have had the strangest weather this week! The mornings have been chilly and by the afternoon I’m sweating! It makes it so hard to get dressed in the morning. I have still been relying very heavily on my sweaters, even though we’re a few days away from May. Since I am always cold I’m a big fan of the spring sweater. Something that is light enough to work for me all day. Add in a bell sleeve and I have found the perfect spring sweater.

My key to still wearing my sweaters in the warmer days is to pair it with something that will keep me cool. Skirts, loose crops and shorts are the obvious choices. These draw string shorts are so comfortable, almost too comfortable. I am not someone who wears shorts often. I always find denim shorts uncomfortable. These are a welcome change and I love the fun colors.

Since I am on the more petite side, I love pairing my shorts with wedges. It helps create the illusion of longer legs, which is never a bad thing! These wedges are an old pair from my Michael Kors days, but any nude or luggage pair is a great investment for spring.

Pink accessories always liven up any outfit. The soft blush tones are neutral enough that they don’t overpower the other colors I’m wearing. My sunglasses are an old pair from Illesteva, but Loft has a very similar pair for a fraction of the cost. I am always amazed at how the pink compliments so many different outfits.
