Spring Date Night

Spring Date Night on Waketon Road wearing J.Crew

It’s always hard to come back after a holiday weekend, especially a long weekend. Since my scheduled days off are Friday and Saturday I got to enjoy a long weekend made even sweeter with Brian being home. We have been spoiling ourselves all weekend by trying a few new restaurants in the area. Our anniversary is this week so that combined with Easter made for several excuses for good food.

A date night is always a good excuse to get dressed up but that doesn’t mean I need to be in a dress. My go-to for date night is a great top, jeans and a heel. It’s comfortable and not too dressy. This pretty eyelet top is such a cheerful yellow and just makes me happy. I almost couldn’t decide between the navy, white or yellow but in the end my love for yellow won. Even though navy or white would have been the classic choice, there is something about yellow for spring that just can’t be topped.

I don’t wear statement earrings too often but they are a great way to step up an outfit. These earrings (last seen here and here) have been getting a lot of use this spring. The colors are even prettier in person and they elevate every outfit they’re paired with. They also happen to be on sale.

Easter has always been one of my favorite holidays. I take Easter egg hunts very seriously. This year I decided to take a year off from dominating the hunt and just enjoy food and family. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
