The White Shirt

April has been flying by! With Brian home I always feel like the time goes by that much faster. We’ve been keeping very busy with things around the house, spending time with friends and family but still making time for just the two of us. Every week Brian and I make it point to have some type of date where we forget about everything else and just spend time together. It could be a quiet morning at a coffee shop, dinner at a nice restaurant, or just a lunch date at our favorite places. This week we decided to go to lunch at Babe’s. If you ever visit Texas, or even if you live here, Babe’s Chicken is a must! It’s the best home style comfort food you will ever have – and not the least bit healthy.

If there is one piece of clothing that will always be in style, it’s a white shirt. It will always be one of the most versatile pieces in your wardrobe. I wanted one that felt classic but still had a hint of what is currently trending. This white shirt has a high-low hemline and pretty details like pleats and lace that give the top more interest.

The top is from Abercrombie & Fitch, which really surprised me. I recently re-discovered the brand after a late night of web browsing and was pleasantly surprised by what I saw. I can remember my middle school and high school days wanting the A&F tee that was so thin you had to wear a cami underneath just to pass dress code. My mom would cringe at the prices for so little material. Fast forward to today and a shopping cart filled with beautiful tops.

I always admire brands that can reinvent themselves and come back to popularity. It shows a willingness to adapt that I respect. This top is one of my favorites for spring and it helps that it’s such a great price point, too.

I have been carrying my Cuyana crossbody a lot recently. It’s definitely a spring/summer bag because of the melon color flap, so I try to get as much use out of it as I can. It’s one of my favorite bags I have ever owned. Cuyana never disappoints with the quality of their products and they have such a unique look. I also really want this tote bag for work. It’s such a happy color!

I hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend with your family! Thank you so much for stopping by! xo Bryn
