Spring in Sundance Square

One of my favorite things to do on the weekends when Brian is home is to go do something out of our routine. It’s always fun to get out of our little suburban bubble and visit one of the many different areas that we have close by. We always seem to end up in Dallas when we need a little taste of the city, but lately we have been exploring more of Fort Worth. Last week we spent the afternoon at the Japanese Garden, so this time we decided to explore more of downtown.

We have been to Sundance Square many times and have even taken a few friends who are visiting from out-of-town to enjoy the area downtown. It’s a completely different feel than Dallas in that it is smaller and has more of the stereotypical “Texas Cowboy” feel. The Stockyards aren’t far so it’s always a fun mix between city and country. We love visiting all of the bars and restaurants around the square. One of our favorites being Bird Cafe. We have spent several afternoons sitting on the patio overlooking the square. This time we decided to just wander around until we found something that looked interesting, settling on a good burger at Jake’s.

Sundance Square is so charming with all of the old brick buildings covered in ivy. It was a perfectly sunny day and the city seemed to be showing off for us. An ideal day for this off the shoulder top. I have been buying an unhealthy amount of off the shoulder tops lately but at least the Texas weather is cooperating.

I have also been buying anything I see in yellow. It started with these mules then this striped top, and the little crossbody from last week’s post. I just can’t help but want more of this cheerful color. I used to never wear yellow, it never looked good with my skin tone, but adding it as a pop of color is so fun for spring.

Don’t be surprised if you see a little more yellow on the blog on Wednesday… I just can’t help myself! Are you loving it as much as I am? Hope you all have a wonderful week! Thanks so much for stopping by! xo Bryn

Ahh loving this look and this location sounds dreamy! Even after living in Texas for 10+ years, I hardly ever made it to Ft Worth and now I’m really feeling like I need to go back and visit!
