Accessory Refresh with Fossil

With every change in season comes a change in style. Spring is the season for a refresh in both nature and in fashion. It’s your chance to be inspired by all of the colors of spring and add some bolder accessories to your wardrobe. Blue is my color crush for spring in every hue from sky blue to deep navy. The patches of blue in the fields from our wild Blue Bonnets signify Spring has arrived in Texas.

When I am thinking of ways to refresh my wardrobe I look to my accessories. Your accessories can make or break an outfit. Spring is the time to have a little more fun with color but I always want to be smart with my choices. While a bright color can be fun, I want a shade that will last more than one season. It was easy to settle on navy for my spring accessory color. It’s versatile and will be able to pair with all of the beautiful blue pieces I have been snatching up this year.

One company that always seems to get it right when it comes to classic, well made accessories is Fossil. I can still remember the first time I walked into one of their stores when I was younger. The smell of the leather was strong and the light shining off of the watch faces was dazzling. You couldn’t help but be drawn in and that image has stayed with me to this day.

The Fossil Spring Collection shares my love for blue. This Maya Hobo bag is such a rich color of blue and the leather is so soft and subtle. It is a perfect combination of style and functionality. I have been carrying totes for so long that I really wanted to add a hobo style back into my rotation. There is something so much easier about a single strap bag. You don’t find yourself trying to keep two straps on your shoulders. And having the crossbody strap is always a must for any hobo.

Since I don’t wear a lot of jewelry I want my watches to be able to stand alone. During my days in retail I was all about the “arm party” with jewelry stacked with an oversized watch. And while I still love that look, it’s not practical for my everyday wear. This Atwater leather band watch is clean and simple. The rose gold hardware against the navy leather is such a unique combination. I have worn it everyday since I received it!

Adding the deeper blue tones with my accessories is the perfect refresh to my wardrobe. Navy is classic and will transition into the next seasons but still gives me the pop of color that I am looking for this spring. What is your color of choice for spring? xo Bryn
