Finding My Inspiration

As I am sitting down to write this post I am thinking back to my little trip to Bird Bakery the other day. I can’t help but feel inspired by one of the lovely employees that I met there. I walked into the shop right after they opened and I was greeted by her big smile. As someone who has worked in retail I was amazed at how welcoming she was to me being at the door right at opening. She was kind and joyful, but then again how could you not be surrounded by all the delicious treats that fill the shop.

She complimented my outfit and asked where I get my inspiration for my looks? I had to think for a second. I was surprised by the fact that she even considered that there was something that inspired me. It is the truth but not always something people think about. When I finally collected my thoughts, I responded with “something as simple as a color, a location or nature.” I talked about how I incorporate natural elements in to my wardrobe during the spring in Monday’s post. For this look I was inspired by the location.

Bird Bakery has been on my list to visitĀ becauseĀ I hadĀ heard it was too cute and that the sweets were delicious. One thingĀ I can never pass up is a good cupcake. I had seen the pale blue from the shop on Instagram and new it would be the perfect opportunity to wear my new pale blue wide-leg pants.

Once I have one piece in mind the rest falls into place. I wanted to stay with a monochromatic look since it was a casual outing, but didn’t want to be one shade of light blue. I added my trusty navy and white striped tee for a contrast but kept the rest of the look simple.Ā My strappy heels (under $25) areĀ so comfortable and compliment the pants perfectly.

I have been loving the wide-leg trend for spring. It’s such a fun change from skinny jeans. For someone who is curvy this is a trend I can totally get behind. I think it is so flattering on all figure types. Not to mention this pretty blue color that will be on repeat all spring.

I find inspiration in so many places. Beauty is everywhere you look as long as you are willing to see it. Where do you go for inspiration? Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by! xo Bryn
