Is there anything more “Old Hollywood Glamour” than the (faux) fur stole? The stole has been making a comeback this winter and I jumped on the bandwagon right away. I love to dress up a look by adding a little glam and the stole is the perfect way to do that. Adding faux fur to any outfit brings an element of vintage playfulness. The trick for me is how I can make wearing a stole feel like “me” and not too Old Hollywood.
I have been getting a lot of wear out of my navy, suede trench lately. I wore it while we were in San Diego and back at home recently because of the slightly warmer temps. The wrap trench is such a flattering style and I love the dark blue as an alternative to black. A coat like this becomes the outfit. You don’t want to take it off when you get to your destination so why not make it really stand out?!
Adding this stole to the coat is the perfect touch. I love this look for a date night. With Valentine’s Day coming up, don’t feel like you have to go with red or pink. Navy pairs beautifully with blush for a different twist on a feminine look. Check out this amazing navy and blush combo.
The first time I styled this look I wore my knee-high boots but for a lunch date in Dallas with my hubby I went with my current favorite flats. I can’t get enough of pointy-toe flats right now. They are so on trend but I love them because they give the illusion of elongating your legs. M.Gemi is one of my all time favorite shoe brands and the Stellato flat is a must! I wouldn’t be surprised if I buy them in every color eventually.
I started a new series for the blog yesterday and I am hoping to contribute a wider variety of content. If you missed the first post from yesterday you can check it out here. Let me know if there are any topics you would like me to cover! I hope your week is off to a great start! Thank you as always for stopping by! xo Bryn
