Baby, It’s Cold Outside!

In this post I said Winter is Coming… well, it has definitely arrived! This week has been so cold. Especially for us Texans! We are really not used to it being below freezing with wind chills taking us into the single digits. I would say that the cold weather makes it feel more like Christmas, but I’m not sure that’s true. It has me dreaming of a white Christmas but unfortunately, it’s just cold.

Right now I am all about the layers! If it’s going to be cold, then I can at least be cozy! A sweater dress is always a great piece to have during the winter. I usually get a new one every season because I wear them to death! This year I decided to go with a chunky cable knit in grey. Some of my previous years included black, white and grey stripe, and navy. There is so much you can do with grey. It’s so pretty styled with neutrals like I did with this look. But you can never go wrong with a fun pop of color!

While I do make investments in things like bags and shoes, I like to keep my clothes reasonably priced. Gap is always a great go-to for me. I have always loved the quality that you get with Gap. My mom used to always say that Gap makes the best basics and that still holds true. This sweater dress is so thick and warm! Perfect for this cold weather.

The cozy accessories are really what ties this look together. When I saw this beanie I knew it was a must. Probably because it’s all of my favorite neutrals combined with my love of stripes! They also have a matching gloves to complete the set.

If you’re looking for last-minute gifts or stocking stuffers I always recommend cute socks or gloves. People always appreciate gifts that they can use and we all need cozy winter accessories.

I hope you are all having a wonderful week! Christmas is just around the corner! xo Bryn
