It was actually cold in Dallas this weekend! And by cold I mean it was in the 50s in the morning and then warmed up into the 70s by the afternoon. But still, the mornings were crisp and it made me so excited for the holidays. My husband, Brian, got home last week and this was our first weekend with him back in town. He is gone for weeks at a time for work, you can read more about that in this post. I’m generally a hermit when he’s gone so it always feel so good to have him back so we can do things together.
Since the red cups have launched (I’m obsessed with all of them) I figured I could start wearing my red coat. Brian told me I looked like I was going horse back riding which is probably why I love this coat so much. I rode horses for most of my childhood and will always be obsessed with anything equestrian. This coat definitely fits that description. It’s tailored and beautifully made. Not to mention the color is amazing! It’s between a burgundy and a red. Perfect for the holidays.
In this post I talked about my tips and tricks when looking for outerwear. As my collection has grown, I have started to add more color. Red is a color that I always say you can get so much wear out of. I kept the look classic with my white button down and black jeans, but I love pairing red with color, too. You will still see me sporting my red coat in February with my pink for Valentine’s Day.
With the holidays right around the corner I have started getting my site more “holiday” ready. I truly love gift giving so I want to share some of my finds with you. I have added a tab in the menu with a page dedicated to Gift Guides as well as updated my Favorite Things and added a Holiday shop. Gift guides will be published every Thursday or Friday depending on sale days. Last week I published a Sephora VIB Sale post which ends tonight at midnight, so don’t miss out on your 20% off!
I hope your week is off to a great start! Thank you so much for stopping by, I’ll see you back here on Wednesday! xo Bryn
