Hello November!

This week has flown by! Halloween has now come and gone and we are going full steam ahead into November! I personally love November because, for those of us in Texas, November is much more like the rest of the country’s October. The crisp fall days are starting to appear in the middle of all the 80 degree days. Our leaves are starting to yellow and fall from the trees. It’s when Texas truly starts to experience Autumn.

I have always loved this time of year. After Halloween when the Christmas music starts playing in the stores, I start thinking Holiday. Maybe it’s from my retail days, but November 1st is when I start getting into the Holiday spirit. I’ve already started thinking about my Holiday to do list. Does anyone else love Christmas shopping? It can be stressful at times, but I love picking thoughtful gifts for the people I care about. Not to mention, I am obsessed with giftwrap and can’t wait to choose my theme for this year. Yes, I am that girl.

But before I get too ahead of myself, I will just enjoy this beautiful Autumn weather that seems to be rolling in. Fall has always been my favorite season for fashion. I feel like you can really pull out all of the best pieces hiding in your closet and put them to good use. I don’t wear hats too often, especially when it’s hot, but I love floppy hats with my fall looks. This hat has been in my closet for a couple of years but have found a few similar styles (linked below). There is something so inspiring about fall fashion. You can bring new life to pieces you may have had for a while just by layering it differently.

I wore this fringe camel sweater in this post over a sweater and paired with a blanket scarf. I decided to pull it out again on a cooler morning and styled it over my favorite Old Navy flannel shirt. There really is nothing more fall than a flannel shirt. You really can’t beat the selection at Old Navy, either.

I’m definitely an early Christmas shopper, and started doing some of my shopping right before Halloween. And I also used to feel the same about November when I lived in California. All that being said, I love that fringe sweater on you and that color block hat is pretty amazing!
