The Camel Coat

Fall is in full swing and I am in love. It’s such a magical time of year. Pumpkins and mums everywhere! The leaves haven’t started to change for us in Texas yet, but there are pumpkin patches at every corner. It really gets you in the Autumnal spirit. I’ve been pulling out my holiday decor and making trips to the pumpkin patch to stock up. There is nothing better than having my patio door open, the cool autumn breeze coming in, pumpkins everywhere and the Bath and Body Works Leaves candle burning.

It’s been a warmer week here in Dallas, but that hasn’t stopped me from wearing all of my new fall pieces. Does anyone else get into a fall mindset and get dressed every morning without looking at the weather? I get so excited about the coming season that I am guilty of pulling out my coats and boots when it’s still hot. I’m that girl in the restaurant wearing jeans and a scarf while everyone else is in shorts. Lucky for me, my office is cold so it all works out.

If you saw Monday’s post, you’ll know that I am a fan of a camel coat. It is quintessentially fall and it’s a classic you will have in your wardrobe for many years. My camel coat is one piece that I really look forward to bringing out every season. You can wear it so many different ways and it’s a staple that I think everyone needs.

In my last post I wore my fringe, camel topper but my favorite camel piece is definitely my tailored coat. I find this style to be so much more versatile. It looks so polished over any outfit.

During this hot October weather, I am loving my sleeveless sweaters. It’s cool enough in the mornings that I can get away with a layer but by the afternoon I’m ready to shed down to the basics. This sleeveless cowl neck sweater is a great transitional piece. I’ll be able to layer it over my long sleeve tees when it’s cool but for now it’s great on its own.

As much as I love spring and summer, I really feel like fall is my style season. I just love all the layers and the neutral colors. I’m so ready for the cool weather to stay so I won’t be the crazy lady all bundled up! Do you jump in full force, too!? Hope everyone is having a wonderful week! Thanks for stopping by! xo Bryn

I have been looking at buying a camel coloured jacket, but didn’t just because I think I should buy a black or grey one first. It’ll be my second fall coat purchase for sure! Loved the way you styled this! That turtleneck is so cute!

Coats are such an investment, but you definitely need them up where you are! Can’t ever go wrong with a black or grey, but I feel like I wear my camel even more! xo Bryn

I’m right there with you with not checking the weather before I get dressed in the mornings! I mean, we’ve got to get in the fall spirit somehow here in Texas, so I’m definitely all for wearing sweaters and boots right now too 🙂 Your camel coat is beautiful, and that golden light in your photos is just gorgeous! Loved your post!

  12. What a beautiful coat! I love everything about it. And your sweater looks so cozy…. It would be just perfect for the weather here in Denmark (unlike Texas the weather here is very much like fall). I do wish we had pumpkins around every corner here as well!
