If there is one thing I will never get tired of, it’s feeling the sand between my toes and the sound of waves crashing. Beach time is always a good time. We didn’t really plan on being able to spend too much time at the beach during our trip to South Carolina, but luckily we were able to fit in a few hours of sun. Late September is the perfect time to travel. The weather is cooling off but still warm enough to enjoy the beach. We also had the whole beach almost exclusively to ourselves.
South Carolina beaches are so different from anywhere else I’ve been. The sand is packed and covered with sea shells. The water isn’t crystal clear but the temperature is so refreshing! We spent a couple of hours just relaxing in the sun. With fall officially here, it felt so nice to savor the last sweet moments of summer.
The one piece has really made a comeback this year. I bought this black one for my time in Punta Cana and loved it so much that I came home and immediately started looking for another one. When I found this pink suit (currently on sale) I knew it would be perfect for sunny South Carolina.
I brought my white button up with my denim shorts to be able to go straight from lunch to the beach. Another plus of wearing a one piece… it’s restaurant appropriate!
The beach is lined with brightly colored houses that all have their own decks overlooking the water. I can easily see why the Carolina coastline becomes an annual destination for so many. It doesn’t get much better than your own personal beach walkout.
