If there is one thing that you must have in your wardrobe for fall it’s plaid. It is almost impossible to make it through fall without wearing some version of it. While I typically stick to a plaid scarf or a button up shirt, this year I went full force with a plaid dress. Since gingham was such a huge trend for spring and summer, it was easy to move right into plaid. It’s the perfect pattern to get you in the mood for all things fall.
I have always been a big fan of the shirt dress. It’s my favorite everyday dress style because it’s comfortable and chic – two of my biggest requirements in any outfit. The shirt dress is so versatile and can be worn so many different ways. I decided to ditch the matching belt that cinches in your waist since I was wearing a crossbody. I never want my strap to be competing with a belt. It made the look feel more casual and no-fuss.
Speaking of crossbody… this is my newest bag purchase from J.Crew and I am in love. I have been looking for a red crossbody bag for a while now and this one caught my eye right away. It’s the perfect vibrant shade of red that I can wear year round without feeling too “holiday.” I also love the blue accent on the key fob (which I obviously had monogrammed for extra personalization!) I have been carrying this bag with everything lately. It’s funny how much you can actually use a red bag!
These booties are one of my favorite purchases this season because they are just so comfortable! I’m a boot girl and wear them every single day when it’s cool so I need a pair that will be perfect with everything. I’ve worn them over my jeans in this post, and with my dresses and skirts, too. Did I mention they’re on sale?!
My dress is currently out of stock, but Gap just launched a collection with Pendleton and it will meet all of your plaid needs. The collection will have you head to toe in plaid all season long!
Thank you so much for stopping by! Happy Wednesday! xo Bryn
