Weekends are always best spent brunching with friends, making flower runs and relaxing before the next week starts again. This weekend was full of all of those things. I think it’s so important to take time to recharge since we all live such busy lives and are always on the go. My weekends can be just as busy as the week, especially when you factor in errands. Because I am always looking at the next item on my to-do list, I have to tell myself to slow down and relax. Anyone else?
With my busy schedule I am always looking for perfect casual weekend wear that can take me through all of my activities. This striped ponte dress is ideal for everything from brunch to the grocery store. I need something that I can throw on and go. It has to be comfortable and easy to wear (i.e. room for indulging at brunch). It’s a casual dress but still makes me feel put together, something yoga pants just can’t accomplish.
I’ve always been stripe obsessed. I don’t want to count the amount of striped shirts and sweaters I have in my closet. Let’s just say it’s a lot. So this dress was a natural choice for me. The navy and white stripes give the dress such a fun nautical vibe. I can easily pair this dress with my red accessories for a classic look, but for this weekend I decided to go with blush accessories.
Navy and white stripes with blush has always been one of my favorite color combinations. You can see more in this post. I think it’s a great feminine twist on a classic. Plus I’m always up for a little pink.
