As I said in Monday’s post, I am getting very excited about fall fashion. Once August rolls around I start making the mental shift to blazers, sweaters, boots and plaid. Texas weather hasn’t been cooperating with my rush to fall, but that hasn’t stopped me from breaking out a few of my favorite pieces to wear right now. I’ve been collecting a few great blazers that I am excited about layering with in the fall but in the meantime, I have been working them into my summer wardrobe. This past weekend I pulled out this fun, plaid blazer to wear for a morning coffee date. Since the weather in the morning was on the cooler side (just kidding it was still above 85) I felt like I could get away with layering a blazer over my white tee as long as I didn’t have to be outside for too long.
I recently found this plaid linen blazer in the J.Crew sale section for an amazing deal. It’s still available in a few sizes and will be a great transition piece. The Regent Blazer is such a classic silhouette and makes for a very tailored look. While solid blazers are always my top pick, I couldn’t resist the fun colors in this pattern. The bold yellows and deep pinks with the navy and white accents are some of my favorite color combinations all wrapped into one.
I wanted to keep my look casual since it was a day filled with coffee dates and a little shopping, so I chose my favorite “weekend wear” which consists of a plain white tee and boyfriend jeans. This white tee is from Old Navy and I have it in all of my basic colors because it is so soft and is nice and long so I can tuck it in like I did here. It’s more of an oversized fit which I love.
I never get tired of my tee and boyfriend jean combination because it’s effortless and can be so chic with just a great pair of shoes and a killer bag. Whenever I feel like my look needs something a little extra special, I break out the Valentino Rockstud. How could a studded bag not take your outfit to the next level?!
I know this outfit will be on repeat when the fall weather starts rolling in. I can almost taste the pumpkin spice, can’t you!? Hope you are all having a wonderful week. Thank you for stopping by! xo Bryn
