It’s the 4th of July which means watermelon, family BBQ’s, fireworks and good ol’ red, white and blue.
I love a little white dress for summer. I think it’s the most classic and effortless summer staple. I pull mine out for every occasion – a summer date night, a day of running errands, even a trip to the pool (it’s a chic cover-up). This dress from J.Crew combines two of my favorite summer trends… white and midi. The eyelet details and tiered top make the dress breezy and ideal for a hot summer day.
Instead of going too patriotic with stars and stripes, I stay within the red, white and blue palette with pieces that are always in my wardrobe. My jean jacket is an easy way to keep my dresses more casual but still add a touch of American classic. A swipe of red on my lips adds the pop of color that I am looking for.
This clutch is from Banana Republic and I love it! It’s a great size and the stripes are so fun.
I wore this look over the weekend for all of my holiday shopping. I couldn’t resist picking up a bouquet of these beauties along with all of the fruit in the store! Watermelon, berries, peaches, cherries, you name it, I bought it. It wouldn’t be the fourth without good food, right!?
