I think it’s pretty safe to say we all live for the weekends. No matter how much you may enjoy your job, there is just nothing better than waking up to a full day of open possibilities. This past weekend I was itching to get out of my zip code and see more of Dallas. There are so many great pocket towns around DFW with old fashion town squares. I love spending the day popping in and out of the antique malls and boutiques. I always come home wanting to completely re-do my house!
It will come as no surprise to you to hear that Texas is hot! We were pushing triple digits this weekend so I tried to dress accordingly. My white denim midi skirt has been a favorite for me lately. Anything that fits loosely is perfect for a day in the heat. It’s so comfortable but still a cute and casual look. The rose gold snaps going down the front are such a sweet detail. And you know I love anything with pockets!
I was feeling a little nautical so I paired the skirt with my navy and white stripe tee and my gingham flats. I don’t think I could ever get tired of nautical looks. They are so classic and just perfect for summer. Not to mention my hubby is a sailor so I always feel like it’s appropriate!
I’ve been obsessing over my blush accessories lately. Blush has definitely become my summer neutral. I wear it with so many of my looks, especially the blues (last seen here). It’s always been one of my favorite colors so my “melon and honey” saddle bag is my weekend go-to. I also love that it brings out the rose gold accents in the skirt.
I couldn’t let a hot afternoon pass without making a gelato stop. I’m aways finding an excuse for a little sweet treat! In the winter I love spending the afternoon in coffee shops but in the summer you can find me in the ice cream parlor. Two scoops, please!
I hope everyone is enjoying the first week of Summer! Happy Wednesday and thank you for reading! xo Bryn
