After what feels like an eternity of rain the sun is shining! I woke up early on Sunday to the rays of light coming through my windows making me excited to start the day. It’s amazing how much I get done when the weather is beautiful. I can’t help but find excuses to be outside. This weekend hubby and I decided we would drive to a neighboring burb to try Trader Joe’s for our grocery shopping. It was my first time there and I am hooked! The floral department alone was enough to make me a fan – holy peonies! You can see more on my Instagram.
I have been dying to wear this darling gingham dress for a while now but I have been waiting for blue skies. The fabric is so luscious and blows beautifully in the wind. I’ve talked about my obsession with gingham on the blog before (here and here) so I knew I had to have this dress the second I saw it! The blue and green pattern just makes me happy and I felt like I was floating all day.
It is such a ladylike fit and do not get me started on the pockets! It is everything I always want in a dress… classic and effortless. I love being able to throw on a dress to run my errands. I feel put together but comfortable, and on the warmer summer days it keeps me feeling cool.
I recently purchased my dream crossbody bag from Cuyana. I have been looking at this saddlebag in Vachetta for a while but I am so happy that I waited until this latest collection because I fell in love with the Honey and Mellon combo. I love pairing blush and rosey pinks with so many different colors so I knew this would be a perfect bag. It’s such a great size and has such a simple elegance to it. I am really in love!
I paired my favorite pink flats with the look to tie in the bag and grabbed my blush sunnies. I felt like summer!

Sunny days (especially Sundays for me) give me such inspiration to get everything done! Plus, sitting outside at the end of the night doesn’t hurt either.
