Current Favorites – Accessories

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

I was cleaning out my closet this past weekend and realized that I was parting with trendy pieces that I had grown tired of and sticking with my basics. I have always been the type of person who wears simple outfits and adds accessories or outerwear to jazz up my look. Think of boyfriend jeans and a classic white shirt. Add a great shoe and a hat and your outfit is transformed. This is where I spend my money… the accessories.

There are some pieces that are just so classic that it’s worth spending a little more because you know you will have it in your wardrobe forever. Deciding on investment pieces can be overwhelming because they are expensive (hence, the investment) and because there are so many trends now that you want to make sure you are making a wise choice.

  • My nude Christian Louboutin heels are the most worn shoes in my closet (to the point where I probably need to think about replacing them soon!) They go with everything and make my legs look longer… a win win! You can see how I styled them with a midi dress in this post.

I love hats and I recently added this beauty from Cuyana to my collection. It is the perfect wide brim hat to style over summer dresses, casual looks and for lounging by the pool. Cuyana is one of my favorite brands because their whole campaign is “Fewer, Better pieces.” This is my philosophy for my wardrobe. I prefer to spend a little more on great pieces and just buy less. Also, be sure to check out their About page for information on how they give back.

For more on another amazing accessory company that does a great job of giving back see my M.GEMI post. I am obsessed with every single style of their shoes. And who doesn’t love to say their shoes were hand crafted from Italy!?

What are some of your must have accessories? Hope you are all having a great week! xo Bryn

Gosh I love this!!! Like you, I tend to gravitate towards simple pieces and then embellish with extras. And then, there are those stand-out/adorable pieces that don’t require accessories! I’ve been putting much more thought into my closet lately, and being more mindful of purchasing things that are high-quality, classic but cute, and will last for years to come! LOVE your brand messaging 🙂

Thank you so much for all of your sweet comments Lisa! I really appreciate all of your support! And I definitely gravitate to quality over quantity so I try to spend a little more time thinking about classic investment pieces. It’s always satisfying when you finally buy the piece you have been waiting for and you’re able to wear it all the time because it’s classic! xo Bryn
