One of the reasons Spring is my favorite time of year is my deep love for flowers. I always love seeing the magnolia trees start to blossom. The large white flower against the deep green leaves makes such an amazing contrast that you can’t help but stop and stare. Growing up in the South, I always associate the magnolia tree blooming with the first signs of summer.
As the temperatures rise, I have found myself reaching more and more for soft and flowy dresses. When I saw this Magnolia dress from Banana Republic, I immediately fell in love! The magnolia flower is the perfect feminine touch against the black and the wrap waist is so flattering. I was a little hesitant to try the midi length (I am by no means runway model height) but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved the length. I felt instantly more chic! And who doesn’t love a dress with pockets?!
My secret weapon for looking and feeling taller has always been my nude pumps. I have a lot of shoes but one pair I can say I have worn constantly for years are these Christian Louboutin. They are without a doubt worth the investment. The red sole draws just enough attention to the shoe without making your legs seem shorter.
I topped off this look with a gorgeous coral lip and my favorite cat eye sunnies. The whole look felt very 50’s and I kinda loved it! Now that wedding season is upon us I know this dress will be put to good use.
